Crystal Palace will look to turn Mamadou Sakho’s loan move permanent at the end of the season, reports the Independent.
The Frenchman moved to Selhurst Park in January and has thrived since coming into the starting XI, with Palace winning four from four he has started.
The Eagles are well aware that his good form at the heart of the defence could well price them out of a move for Sakho, but that won’t stop them from pursuing interest in the former PSG man.
Liverpool are looking to sell Sakho at the end of the season, with the centre-back also attracting interest from Southampton and a number of Italian sides.
The Merseyside outfit are aware that interest in the 27-year-old will be high in the summer and could ask for upwards of £25m for the defender.
Palace have conceded just one goal in the four games Sakho has started this term, that coming in Saturday’s impressive 2-1 win at Chelsea.
His fine form has contributed to a WhoScored rating of 7.29, with Palace’s four-game winning run lifting them four points clear of the relegation zone.
