Bayern Munich poised to sign Inter winger

Bayern Munich have agreed a deal in principle to sign Inter winger Ivan Perisic, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.

Perisic will spend next season on loan at Bayern and the Bundesliga champions will have an option to make his switch permanent for €20m (£18.8m).

Bayern have agreed a €5m (£4.7m) loan fee with Inter after turning their attention to Perisic in the wake of Leroy Sane’s serious knee injury.

Sane is sidelined for up to seven months after undergoing surgery for a knee ligament injury sustained in Manchester City’s Community Shield victory last weekend.

Bayern lost both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery at the start of the summer and have endured a nightmare search for their replacements.

Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi was another target for the Bundesliga champions before he suffered a long-term injury of his own.

Perisic is now on the cusp of securing a return to the Bundesliga four years after leaving Wolfsburg to join Inter.

The 30-year-old, who also spent two years at Borussia Dortmund, is deemed surplus to requirements by new Inter manager Antonio Conte.

Since August 2015 only two players have completed more crosses (excluding corners) than Perisic in Serie A (109).
