Bayern Munich hold talks with agent of Tottenham target

Bayern Munich have entered the race to sign Tottenham target Malcom and have even held talks with the player’s representatives, claim German outlet BILD.

Malcom was heavily linked with a move to a number of Premier League clubs in the January transfer window after making a thoroughly impressive start to the season with French side Bordeaux.

The Brazilian forward has already revealed this season will be his last with Bordeaux and now the scramble for his signature has already started across the continent.

Now that Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are coming to the end of their careers, Bayern have earmarked Malcom as a potential long-term replacement for their legendary wingers.

Bordeaux will hope to drive up Malcom’s price beyond €60m (£52.7m) with the increasing interest, while the 20-year-old could land a five-year deal at Allianz Arena at the end of the season.

Tottenham were not the only Premier League side interested in signing Malcom but the competition from Bayern could force them to look elsewhere in their attempts to bolster their offensive options.

The Bordeaux No.7 has scored eight goals and provided six assists in 25 Ligue 1 appearances this season, picking up the WhoScored Man of the Match award on six occasions.
