Manchester United are not interested in former Tottenham striker
Manchester United are not interested in signing Fernando Llorente on a free transfer, claims The Daily Mail.
Llorente is currently a free agent after being released by Tottenham at the end of last season.
The former Spain international is being considered by Napoli if Carlo Ancelotti’s side fail to prise Mauro Icardi from rivals Inter.
Despite claims from Italy suggesting United have agreed a two-year deal with Llorente, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are not in the market for the veteran.
United sold Romelu Lukaku to Inter without replacing the Belgium international and there are concerns they are now light in attack for the season.
The Red Devils will juggle four competitions this season and that has placed a lot of pressure on the young shoulders of Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial.
Alexis Sanchez is nearing a return to full fitness but United are in talks with Inter to offload the 30-year-old.
Llorente was a bit-part player during his two years at Tottenham and played a direct hand in just 11 goals in 52 league and European appearances in that time.
