Manchester United ready new deal for Real Madrid target

Manchester United are willing to offer David de Gea a second new deal in less than two years in an attempt to finally end Real Madrid’s pursuit of their No.1 goalkeeper, reports The Daily Star on Sunday.

De Gea, 26, only signed a new deal in September 2015 after failing to secure a move to Madrid and the Spain international has re-emerged as Madrid’s top target this summer as Zinedine Zidane’s side finally look to sign a big name goalkeeper.

However, United have no interest in losing their star goalkeeper and are even willing to improve his current £200,000-a-week wages and are ready to make him one of the club’s best paid players in their history with wages of nearly £300,00-a-week.

After enduring a tricky start to life at United, De Gea has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. In fact, in the last two Premier League campaigns he has kept the most clean sheets (25).
