Fiorentina have expressed a strong interest in signing Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan this summer, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.
New Inter head coach Antonio Conte has confirmed Nainggolan does not feature in his plans for next season and is free to leave after just one season at the club.
Not helped by several reoccurring injuries, Nainggolan failed to make a positive impact at Inter during his first season at the club and the Serie A outfit are struggling to offload him this summer.
Cagliari and Sampdoria have been linked with a move for the former Belgium international but now it has emerged Fiorentina are also keen.
The Viola have sprung into life in the transfer market in the last 24 hours and are in talks with Inter and Nainggolan about a potential deal.
Nainggolan still has three years left to run on his current Inter deal and Fiorentina will likely seek a loan deal with an option to buy next summer.
The 31-year-old only managed to start 22 league matches for Inter last season, with a further seven appearances from the bench.
However, no player has completed more accurate through balls than Nainggolan (22) over the last three Serie A campaigns.
