Days after leading Palmeiras to their first league title in 22 years, Gabriel Jesus has arrived at Manchester City to begin his career in England.
City won the race to land the highly sought after 19-year-old in the summer in a deal worth £27m but agreed to let the Brazilian continue with his boyhood club until the end of the season, which finished last weekend.
Jesus, who was part of the Brazil squad that won gold in the 2016 Olympics in August, touched down in Manchester on Thursday before going out for dinner with manager Pep Guardiola and fellow countrymen Fernandinho and Fernando.
The teenager will not be eligible to play for City until January but big things are expected of the forward, who is deemed the best player to come out of Brazil since Neymar left Santos for Barcelona in 2013.
Jesus, who scored 12 goals and registered five assists for the Brasileirao champions in 2016, had more shots on target than any other player in the league (36).
