Young Dane emerges as United target

Ajax frontman Kasper Dolberg has emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United, reports the Sunday Mirror via the Sunday People.

The teenage striking sensation has been in excellent form for the Eredivisie side this season, netting five goals and registering one assist from 11 league appearances.

His performances haven’t gone unnoticed either, with a host of top teams on the continent taking an interest in the 19-year-old.

United, though, have stepped up their interest in the Danish hitman, dubbed the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with scouts from the Premier League side impressed after he netted in the 3-2 Europa League win over Celta Vigo.

Jose Mourinho’s side are looking to bolster their attack with Anthony Martial struggling for consistency and Zlatan Ibrahimovic now 35.

And following his arrival in the Netherlands this summer, Dolberg has hit the ground running with it yet to be seen whether Ajax can retain the services of the prolific striker beyond the end of the season.
