Liverpool withdraw from race for Manchester United target Sancho
Liverpool are not interested in signing Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho to leave Manchester United and Chelsea to battle for his signature, claims The Daily Mirror.
Sancho is widely expected to leave Dortmund at the end of the current campaign after developing into one of the best players in Europe over the last two years.
Dortmund expect to command over £100M for Sancho as a result but the likes of United and Chelsea hope to pay much less.
With Sadio Mane and Mo Salah expected to miss chunks of next season due to the Africa Cup of Nations in January, Liverpool were rumoured to be interest in Sancho.
However, it has now emerged Jurgen Klopp's side are not pursuing the 20-year-old and have not even been monitoring his future at Dortmund.
Liverpool are not interested in spending the reported money required to prise Sancho from Dortmund when he would not be a guaranteed starter with everyone available.
Sancho was the first player in Europe's top five leagues to register double figures for goals and assists this season and has remarkably played a direct hand in 29 goals in 23 appearances.
