Everton teenager Tom Davies has emerged as a surprise target for Premier League champions Chelsea, according to the Sun.
Davies enjoyed a fine breakthrough season for Everton under Ronald Koeman last season and his performances earned him widespread praise throughout the Premier League.
The Blues were slow to make an impact in the transfer market, but have made recently secured the big money signings of Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata.
Reports on Tuesday also suggested that chairman Roman Abramovich would sanction the £150m signings of Virgil van Dijk and Alex Sandro as Antonio Conte looks to improve his defensive options.
The 19-year-old has also come up on Conte’s radar, with the Italian impressed with Davies’ work rate and tireless running, two traits the Blues boss looks out for in a midfielder.
Teenager Davies made 18 Premier League starts under Koeman last season and netted two goals and registered a further three assists to return a WhoScored rating of 6.68.
