West Brom to reward Fletcher with new terms

West Brom are to set to award captain Darren Fletcher with a new contract, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Fletcher, 32, has entered the final 12 months of his existing deal at the Hawthorns but will trigger an automatic one-year extension when he plays in a certain number of matches.

However, the Scotland international has developed into an integral player for Tony Pulis and the club are looking to bring forward negotiations and begin talks next month.

In the last three Premier League campaigns no West Brom player has won possession in the midfield third more times than Fletcher (175).
