Paris Saint-Germain are poised to make a January move for Wolfsburg outcast Julian Draxler, according to Le Parisien.
Draxler, 25, is set to leave the Bundesliga club when the transfer window opens after vocally expressing his exit as soon as possible.
The Germany international was left out of Wolfsburg’s squad that lost 5-0 to Bayern Munich at the weekend and appears to have played his last game for the club, with PSG set to rekindle the interest they showed for him in the summer.
Unai Emery’s side will need to fork out as much as €35m (£29.4m) for Draxler, with Wolfsburg keen to make a profit on the highly rated midfielder, having signed him from Schalke in a deal worth £25.5m in 2015.
Draxler was brought in as Kevin de Bruyne’s replacement but has failed to fill the void left by the now Manchester City star. The German has failed to score or register an assist this season in 11 league appearances. In fact, no player has had more shots without scoring in the Bundesliga this season than Draxler (24).
