Marseille will allow Lass Diarra to leave the Stade Velodrome in a cut-price deal in the summer, according to French news outlet RMC, via 101 Great Goals.
Diarra, 31, took a big pay cut on his salary to join Marseille last summer and reportedly has a gentlemen’s agreement to leave Michel’s side for €8m-10m (£6.3m-7.8m).
Despite Marseille’s struggles this season, the former Real Madrid, Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder has managed to resurrect his career and force his way back into the France squad for the first time in more than five years.
Of players to have attempted at least 50 dribbles in Europe’s top five leagues this season, only Mousa Dembele (90.1%) has done so at a greater success rate than Diarra (84.6%).
