Crystal Palace ready to cash in on star man Zaha

Crystal Palace will allow Wilfried Zaha to leave the club this summer but only if their £80m asking price is matched, claimed The Daily Mail.

Zaha revealed on Saturday he wants to leave Palace for the second time in his career in order to fulfil his ambition of playing in the Premier League.

The Eagles have previously rebuffed interest from Tottenham in the former Manchester United winger but accept Zaha’s time at the club is coming to an end.

Zaha signed a £130,000-a-week five-year deal with Palace in August after Roy Hodgson’s side rewarded the 26-year-old’s loyalty with the most lucrative contract in the club’s history.

The Ivory Coast international is regarded as one of the best players outside the Premier League’s top-six and Palace are now ready to cash in on the versatile forward.

Tottenham are long-term admirers of Zaha but it remains to be seen whether they’d be willing to shatter their club transfer record to match Palace’s valuation.

Zaha has, at times, single-handily kept Palace in the Premier League over the last two years, illustrated by the fact the Eagles have a 34.5% win ratio in the league since the beginning of last season when he has started compared to just 14.3% when he hasn’t.

Furthermore, only Eden Hazard (284) has completed more dribbles than Zaha (214) in the Premier League in that time.
