United striker joins Derby

Manchester United have announced James Wilson has joined Championship side Derby County on a season-long loan deal.

Wilson, 20, burst onto the scene during Ryan Giggs’ four matches in charge of United at the end of David Moyes’ spell as manager and appeared destined for big things.

However, the England Under-21 international’s United career has stalled and he has since endured loan spells to Brighton and now Derby.
