Manchester United eye move for £80m-rated Serie A midfielder

Manchester United are interested in signing highly rated Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic at the end of the season, claims The Daily Mirror.

Jose Mourinho will bolster his midfield options in the summer and has earmarked Milinkovic-Savic as a top transfer target.

Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick are both due to leave United at the end of the season and now there are question marks about Paul Pogba’s future at the club.

United are adamant that new midfielders will not be signed as replacements for Pogba but instead to help coax the best from the France international.

The Red Devils are also being linked with moves for Nice midfielder Jean Seri and Napoli ace Jorginho, but 22-year-old Milinkovic-Savic is the latest name being associated with Mourinho’s side.

Lazio are currently enjoying a sensational campaign and they will reportedly demand as much as £80m for the Serbia international.
