Aston Villa may struggle to retain hard working midfielder

Aston Villa face a fight on their hands to retain the services of John McGinn, along as Jack Grealish, this summer, reports TEAMtalk.

Grealish has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer and his exit would be a huge blow for the Villans.

However, Villa also face the possibility to losing McGinn, too, at the end of the season, with Wolves, Leicester and Everton all courting the Scotland international.

McGinn started the season excellently, but only recently recovered from injury, which has limited him to 18 league starts this term.

United have also been linked with a move for the 25-year-old, however their focus is Grealish, who has been Villa's top rated player in the Premier League this season.

McGinn, with a WhoScored rating of 7.26, podiums alongside Grealish and has won more WhoScored man of the match awards (4) than any other Villa player in the Premier League this term.

Three goals and two assists is a solid return for McGinn, but Villa, who spent big over the summer, may struggle to keep the Scot and Grealish if they are relegated.
