Roma have earmarked Manchester United left-back Alex Telles as a potential transfer target this summer, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.
Jose Mourinho wants to sign a new left-back for the new season after Leonardo Spinazzola's long-term injury at Euro 2020.
Spinazzola was one of the best players at the tournament and Roma are only interested in signing a new left-back on loan while he recovers from injury.
Roma have reportedly reached out to United about Telles but are unlikely to succeed in prising the Brazilian away on loan.
Telles only joined United 12 months ago but was firmly behind Luke Shaw in the pecking order last season.
Losing Telles would also force United into the market for a new left-back as cover to Shaw and they are currently focusing on strengthening elsewhere.
The 28-year-old only made nine Premier League appearances last season but still managed as many asssists as Mason Greenwood, who made 31 appearances (2).
