Looming court case slowing Aurier’s Paris Saint-Germain exit

Paris Saint-Germain are struggling to sell Serge Aurier and are running out of suitors for the troublesome right-back, reports Le Parisien.

Aurier is appealing a two-month prison sentence for allegedly attacking a police officer last year, which prevented the Ivory Coast international from entering the UK for PSG’s Champions League game against Arsenal last season.

Dani Alves' arrival has forced the 24-year-old to accept he no longer has a future at PSG, but he might have to harbour any ambitions of turning out for another top club next season as potential suitors look elsewhere.

Manchester City were one of the sides linked with a move Aurier at the start of the summer but Pep Guardiola has since addressed the right-back position by signing Kyle Walker and Danilo.

Barcelona have also signed Nelson Semedo from Benfica, while Juventus have already reached the limit for the amount of international players they can sign this summer.

Tottenham and Inter are among the sides still monitoring his future, while reports from France emerged over the weekend suggesting Manchester United had agreed personal terms with the Ivorian defender.

However, while all suitors are waiting to discover whether his appeal is successful at the start of August, they also hope that by waiting until later in the window then PSG’s sporting director, Antero Henrique, will lower their €25m (£22.4m) asking price.

In the last four Ligue 1 campaigns only Layvin Kurzawa (25) has scored or assisted more goals than Aurier (24) of all defenders.
