Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen on signing £20m-rated Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina, reports The London Evening Standard.
Lemina, 23, only joined Juventus on a permanent deal from Marseille last summer but has struggled to make an impact in the first-team under Max Allegri and is now being linked with a move away from the newly crowned Coppa Italia champions.
Wenger is determined to add a new central midfielder to his squad over the summer and has identified Lemina as the ideal player to compliment his current options, although Roma and Schalke are also monitoring his progress in the build up to the summer window.
Lemina’s potential arrival would surely only spell further bad news for Jack Wilshere, who would already be competing for places in the Arsenal midfield with Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla, Mohamed Elneny and Francis Coquelin.
The Gabon international has only started eight league games this season but did score his first league goal of the season in their 3-1 defeat to Roma last weekend.
