Chelsea are planning to offer Eden Hazard with an advance on his £200,000-a-week contract in order to ward off potential interest from Real Madrid in the summer, reports The Daily Mirror.
Madrid have rekindled their interest in Hazard following his return to form this season and are reportedly weighing up a summer move for the Chelsea ace as Zinedine Zidane seeks to sign his long-term target.
The 26-year-old’s existing deal isn’t due to expire until 2020 but Chelsea are willing to go to any lengths to keep Hazard out of Madrid’s clutches this season as they gear up to welcome back Champions League next season.
Hazard has scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 26 appearances in the Premier League this season, while no player has secured a higher WhoScored rating in the competition this season (7.89)
