Manchester United interested in Bordeaux defender

Bordeaux defender Pablo has emerged as a shock January transfer target for Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, claims FOX Sports.

United have been linked with a number of defenders all season, as Mourinho is desperate to sign a reliable centre-back next month.

Mourinho's side have so far endured a miserable season and any signs of progress they have made has been undermined by defensive mistakes.

Tottenham have only scored two more Premier League goals than United this season but there are 10 points seperating the two sides. This is because United have conceded 10 more goals than their rivals.

Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly has been linked with a sensational £90m move to Old Trafford in recent weeks but now Pablo is on Mourinho’s radar.

Pablo, who made his Brazil debut this year, is contracted with Bordeaux until the summer of 2021 and does not have a release clause.
