United star set to reject monster move to China

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will reject a staggering £120m offer from China and instead stay at Manchester United until 2018, reports the Mail on Sunday.

Ibrahimovic has impressed following his summer move to United, with a brace against West Brom on Saturday evening taking him to 11 Premier League goals this term.

The Chinese government is willing to bankroll a big money move for the 35-year-old, however, as they feel the striker can guarantee vast sums of money in commercial revenue and increase the profile of the Chinese Super League.

The likes of Graziano Pelle, Hulk and Paulinho already grace the league, with Oscar set to join the trio in the coming weeks, but are a level below Ibrahimovic in terms of commercial opportunities.

A move was made for the Swede star last summer once his PSG contract ran down, but he rejected the chance to move to China for a Premier League switch instead.

United and Jose Mourinho have also confirmed that he will be offered a one-year extension to his current deal, with the ageing frontman willing to remain at the club until at least 2018.
