Everton eye summer move for former Manchester United midfielder
Everton and West Ham are interested in prising Shinji Kagawa away from Borussia Dortmund at the end of the summer, claims German outlet BILD.
Kagawa spent two underwhelming years at Manchester United before returning to Dortmund in 2014.
The Japan international has struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular for the Bundesliga outfit since moving back to Germany.
Kagawa’s current Dortmund deal isn’t due to expire until 2020 but Everton and West Ham are interested in securing his services.
The 29-year-old failed to convince under David Moyes at United but the West Ham boss is reportedly weighing up an unlikely reunion at the London Stadium.
Kagawa has only started 12 Bundesliga matches this season and been forced to make a further six appearances as a substitute.
Despite such little game time, he has still scored five goals and provided one assist in the Bundesliga this season.
