Bournemouth ace signs new contract

Bournemouth have announced Ryan Fraser has put pen to paper on a new three-and-a-half-year deal keeping him at the club until 2022.

Fraser, 22, has spent the last four years with Bournemouth after joining from Aberdeen in 2013 but has only made his mark into first-team this season.

The Scotland Under-21 international has struggled for consistency this season but has shown in patches that he can be a real match winner for Bournemouth and manager Eddie Howe is excited to continue developing the winger.

“Ryan has made huge strides in his development this season,” Howe told the club’s official website.

"He has had to be patient for a regular opportunity here and the next step was to produce performances on a consistent basis. We are seeing that from him now.

“Ryan deserves all the accolades he has received and hopefully there are many more to come. I see a really bright future for him.”

Fraser has scored three goals in 13 league appearances this season but will best be remembered for his impact off the bench against Liverpool in which he turned the game on its head and helped the Cherries secure a thrilling 4-3 win at the start of December.

In fact, no player has gained a higher WhoScored rating off the bench in the Premier League this season than Fraser managed in that win over Liverpool (8.83).
