Donnarumma to discuss new AC Milan deal after Euros, says agent

Mino Raiola says he will sit down with AC Milan after the U21 European Championships to try and resolve Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future at the club.

Milan announced earlier this month that Donnarumma had rejected a new deal and would not renew with his boyhood club fuelling suggestions he would leave this summer.

Donnarumma will be free to leave Milan on a free transfer when his current deal expires at the end of next season but Raiola has announced their will be further talks with the club after clearing up a lot of confusion on social media on Sunday.

“Tweets’ between me and Gigi are tweets of friendship,” Raiola put out on his official Twitter account. “After Euros we’ll meet Milan. Now Nazionale is important.”

Donnarumma is currently away in Poland with the Italian U21 squad where they are gearing up for a semi-final encounter with Spain on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in world football since breaking onto the scene in October 2015 and has already been linked with high profile moves to Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus.

The interest is justified in the Milan goalkeeper after he finished last season as the highest rated goalkeeper in Europe’s top five leagues (7.05).
