West Ham on verge of completing shock move for Arsenal forward
Theo Walcott is set to quit Arsenal in the summer and is on the brink of agreeing a move to London rivals West Ham, according to The Sun.
Walcott has failed to live up to the early promise he showed when he signed for Arsenal a decade ago and the England international is now looking towards the next stage in his career after dropping down the pecking order at the Emirates this season.
The 27-year-old only signed a new £140,000-a-week four-year deal at Arsenal last summer but the striker is now close to agreeing terms to sign for an ambitious West Ham side.
Arsenal are even prepared to let Walcott leave the club but will demand at least £20m for the versatile forward, which West Ham are prepared to pay as they shape their squad to compete with the top-four.
Walcott is currently on course to achieve his lowest WhoScored rating for a league campaign in his last seven seasons (6.58 rating).
