Bellerin insists Arsenal don't need January reinforcements

Hector Bellerin insists Arsenal don't need to spend big in January to strengthen the squad.

The Gunners sit only two points off top spot ahead of the hectic festive period, though injuries are beginning to build up for the north London side.

Arsene Wenger will be without key midfielder Francis Coquelin until March after the Frenchman suffered a knee injury in the 2-1 defeat to West Brom last weekend.

However, Bellerin believes the club don't need to make new signings in January, telling IBTimes UK: "There is a lot of quality in the team and I do not think we need new players.

"If someone new comes in he will be welcomed, but I think we have a very strong squad, with good replacements for every position.

"The players just have to think about the coming games and nothing else."

Bellerin, 20, has impressed for Arsenal once more this season, with his WhoScored rating (7.39) enough to secure a place in the current Premier League team of the season.
