Pastore reveals Juventus approach

 

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore has revealed Juventus approached him regarding a possible move this summer.

 

Pastore, 26, swapped Palermo for Paris-Saint Germain in 2011 and has revealed he had the chance to return to Serie A this summer as the reigning champions sought reinforcement in midfield.

 

“I was approached by Juventus,” the Argentina international told ESPN Radio.

 

“But Paris Saint-Germain never had any intention of selling me, and I had no intention to go away and to leave France.

 

“Since I arrived the team has grown a lot, every year quality reinforcements come in.

 

[Angel] Di Maria for example, I’m please with his arrival, we understand each other well on the pitch. He’s an incredible player who can make the difference by himself.”

The dependable Argentine has proven to be a valuable asset for Laurent Blanc’s side since his arrival four years ago. In fact, Pastore has made at least 20 more accurate through balls than any of his PSG teammates in Ligue 1 in that time (48). Additionally, he has also made the more assists since for the Ligue 1 champions since signing for £36.6m (27).
