Guardiola keen to manage United midfielder in next job
Pep Guardiola is yet to decide his next move but the Bayern Munich boss is already planning for Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera to be central to his plans, according to Spanish paper Don Balon.
The former Barcelona boss revealed he would be leaving Bayern at the end of the season when his contract expires and has been strongly linked with the head jobs at both Manchester City and Manchester United.
However, according to reports back in his native Spain, he is already planning his transfer preparations and has earmarked Herrera as the key player to his plans.
Herrera, who is a fan favourite at United, has struggled to nail down a regular first-team berth under Louis van Gaal and there have previously been murmurs he’s been unhappy with his treatment.
Despite being cast in and out of the United team, only Juan Mata (8) scored more league goals in 2015 than Herrera (6).
