Juventus want Germany international

Juventus have earmarked Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi as Martin Caceres’ replacement, according to Gazzetta World.

Caceres will leave Juventus at the end of the month when his contract expires following nearly five years with the Serie A champions and Max Allegri is wasting no time in finding his replacement.

Mustafi was arguably Valencia’s best player last season in what was a disastrous campaign for Los Che and the Germany international, who scored against Ukraine in the Euro 2016 opener, could be on the market after Valencia failed to secure European football for next season.

The 24-year-old spent two years with Serie A outfit Sampdoria before moving to Valencia in 2014 and is now on Juventus’ radar, as is teammate Andre Gomes.

Mustafi finished last season as Valencia’s highest rated player in La Liga (7.33). Furthermore, only Luis Hernandez (140) made more interceptions than the Valencia central defender (133).
