Sevilla have announced they have reached an agreement in principle with Porto for the transfer of Miguel Layun.
Layun will undergo his medical on Tuesday with the Spanish giants before completing an initial loan deal until the end of the season.
Vincenzo Montella’s side will also have the right to make Layun’s switch permanent at the end of the season
The 29-year-old has been limited to just six league appearances for Porto this season after failing to establish himself on either side of their back four.
Layun will now provide competition for places with Sergio Escudero at left-back and predominately Gabriel Mercado at right-back.
The Mexico international previously impressed during a brief stint at Watford, which secured him a move to Porto in August 2015.
