Barcelona set to sign long-standing target

Barcelona are close to agreeing a deal with Willian, which would see the Brazilian leave Chelsea for Spain this summer, reports Marca.

Willian is a long-standing target for the Blaugrana, who have failed to land the Brazilian international in recent transfer windows.

However, with Willian's contract expiring in the summer, Barcelona are confident they will at long last sign the 31-year-old.

Chelsea have been trying to tie Willian down to a new deal at Stamford Bridge, but the player is keen on a change in scene.

The Blues are aware that Willian is expected to leave London before too long, yet he has been routinely selected by head coach Frank Lampard due to a lack of options.

Willian was a second half sub in Chelsea's 2-2 draw at Leicester on Saturday having struggled for form in recent weeks.

Barcelona already have another attacker joining in the summer having struck a deal for Braga winger Trincao, with the 20-year-old moving to Spain for €31m.
