Arsenal are preparing a summer move for Gladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka after scouting him 30 times this season, reports The Daily Mirror.
Xhaka has been regularly linked with a move to the Premier League and the Switzerland international has previously admitted his desire to experience English football.
Arsene Wenger’s side have reportedly watched the Gladbach midfielder 30 times this season and are wiling to shell out £30m on the 23-year-old at the end of the summer.
The Gunner are also interested in Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos and Southampton’s Victor Wanyama but are leading towards the Gladbach man.
Discipline has proved a problem for Xhaka this season, who was the first to pick up three red cards across Europe’s top five leagues this season. The Swiss midfielder is known for his long passing and it is therefore unsurprising to realise that only three players average more long balls per game (7.7) in Europe this season.
