Liverpool have confirmed Loris Karius has joined Turkish giants Besiktas on a two-year loan deal.
Karius has been given the chance to resurrect his career elsewhere after a turbulent two-year stint at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp's signed the German shot-stopper in a £4.7m deal from Mainz in 2016 but he has struggled to settle.
Karius made two huge errors in last season's Champions League final that cost Liverpool the game and the club acted by signing a replacement in the summer.
Liverpool shelled out more than £60m to sign Alisson from Roma, which was a world record fee for a goalkeeper at the time of the transfer.
Klopp was willing to offload one of Karius or Simon Mignolet following Alisson's arrival and now the former has secured a move to Turkey.
As part of the loan deal, Besiktas will have to make the transfer permanent if certain clauses are met, believed to be based on a minimum number of appearances and if the Turkish giants qualify for the Champions League.
The total transfer could end up costing Besiktas in excess of £10m, which would make the 25-year-old the club's most expensive signing of all-time.
Despite his horror-show performance in the Champions League final, Karius kept the most clean sheets in the competition (6).
