Chelsea enter race for Championship starlet

Chelsea have entered the race to sign Fulham striker Moussa Dembele, according to The Daily Mail.

Dembele, 19, has been regularly linked with a move away from Craven Cottage this season and the teenager came close to joining Tottenham in the January transfer window.

However, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have reportedly withdrawn their interest in the Fulham frontman paving the way for Chelsea to sign the Frenchman, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Dembele has previously been linked with a move to Juventus and Napoli but Tottenham have withdrawn their interest and are now scouting a higher calibre of striker with Champions League football almost guaranteed next season.

The former France Under-20 international is the top scoring teenager in the Championship this season having scored at least nine more goals than any other player (14).
