Former Juventus head coach keen on Manchester United hot seat

Former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri wants to manage in the Premier League and is learning English, claims The Guardian.

Allegri has been out of work since leaving Juventus at the end of last season following five years at the club.

The 52-year-old has been heavily linked with a Premier League job in the past and is finally ready to manage outside his native Italy for the first time.

Allegri is particuarly keen on replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Manchester United manager should the Premier League giants sack the Norweigan.

Tottenham may also be on the market for a new manager in the next 12 months following Tuesday's stunning defeat to Bayern Munich.

Mauricio Pochettino's side lost 7-2 at home to Bayern and Allegri is believed to have been in attendance, with the pressure moutining on the Tottenham head coach.

Neither Premier League club want to sack their current managers but the trajectory of both teams does not make great reading for either man.

Allegri won Serie A in all five of his seasons as Juventus manager and guided the Old Lady to two Champions League finals in that time.
