Leicester midfielder rubbishes talk of Manchester United switch

Leicester’s new signing Wilfred Ndidi has moved to quash suggestions he has agreed to join Manchester United at the end of the season after pledging his commitment to the reigning Premier League champions.

Comments emerged from a supposed agent during the week hinting that Ndidi, who joined Leicester from Genk in the January transfer window, was pushing for a move to Old Trafford after just six months with the Foxes.

Leicester are bracing themselves for a wave of interest in their £15m January signing following a fine start to life in the Premier League but Ndidi has dismissed the latest rumours after revealing he has never even heard of the agent that leaked the report.

“Please be informed this information is not true,” Ndidi posted on his official Twitter account in response to questions made by an agent. “I’m 200% with Leicester and I don’t know this person called Hakeem Bello.”

Ndidi has only made 10 Premier League appearances for Leicester this season but he has only made a huge impression and has already drawn comparisons to N’Golo Kante, the midfielder he was signed to replace in January.

The Nigeria international is already the club’s highest rated player in the league (7.39), while only Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye (4.5) averages more tackles per game (Ndidi - 4.2).
