Leicester City have opened talks with Arsenal to sign winger Reiss Nelson, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The newly-promoted side are believed to be in discussions focusing on an initial loan deal, with an obligation to buy the 24-year-old at the end of the coming season.
After returning from a loan spell with Dutch side Feyenoord in 2022, Nelson has struggled for regular playing time at the Emirates under Mikel Arteta, making just one league start over the past two seasons.
Nelson may favour a move to Leicester if presented with multiple suitors, given he worked under Foxes boss Steve Cooper as an England under-21 international.
The Championship winners are claimed to be ‘confident’ of convincing Nelson to make the switch, with the financial terms of a deal now being discussed with Arsenal.
