Monaco sporting director Antonio Cordon has denied Real Madrid have made a formal approach for star striker Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe, 18, has been heavily linked with almost every club in Europe after enjoying a breathtaking breakthrough campaign for the Ligue 1 leaders this season.
Monaco are expected to be able to command in excess of £100m should they decide to sell the France international in the summer but Principality club have denied Madrid have already stolen a march in the race to land Mbappe.
“The truth is they [Madrid] haven’t,” Cordon told Cadena Ser Radio, via ESPN when asked if Madrid had approach the club for his signature.
“I hope that Mbappe continues with us for a long time and gives us many great nights of football.
“He is a player that has had an important progression and has deserved it. He is going strong.”
Mbappe has been immense for Monaco in the knockout stages of the Champions League, scoring five goals in four matches to help set up a tantalising semi-final clash with Juventus.
The teenager has scored 22 goals in 37 matches in all competitions for Monaco this season.
