Wolfsburg have announced Julian Draxler has completed his switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
Draxler, 24, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bundesliga outfit since the start of the season after failing to secure a move away in the summer.
Long term admirers Arsenal had been mooted with a move for the Germany international ahead of the January transfer window, but PSG have won the race for his signature as Unai Emery continues to mould his squad.
“We’ve had some very intense but constructive discussions with Paris Saint-Germain, Julian Draxler and his management over the past few days and we’re confident to have reached a satisfactory conclusion for all parties,” Wolfsburg’s sporting director, Olaf Rebbe, told the club’s official website.
Draxler had struggled for any sort of form throughout the first half of this season, but coincidentally, his two best performances came in each of Wolfsburg’s last two matches as a move away edged closer.
The former Schalke midfielder has registered both of his assists in the last two matches, which Wolfsburg have won both, doubling the amount of wins they’ve had in the league for the whole season.
