Atletico Madrid want to recoup their full £20m investment to allow Kieran Trippier to return to England this summer, claims The Sun.
Trippier only joined Atletico from Tottenham last summer and has been a relative success for Diego Simeone's side.
Atletico are not actively looking to sell the England international but are aware there are teams in England eyeing a summer move for the right-back.
Former club Burnley have particuarly interested in prisin Trippier back to Turf Moor but Atletico's £20m asking price could prove a major stumbling block.
Trippier is also being investigated into betting allegations and that inquiry will have to be concluded before a deal can even be discussed.
The 29-year-old has started 17 league matches in his first season at Atletico and registered three assists in that time.
Atletico have fared better in LaLiga when Trippier has started (47.1% win ratio) compared to when he has not featured from the off (30%).
