Marco Llorente has made his name away from Real Madrid this season but the Alaves defensive midfielder is only interested in returning to his parent club and forging a successful career in the future.
The 22-year-old joined Alaves on a season-long deal at the start of the season and has quickly established himself as one of the most promising talents in La Liga.
Alaves would understandably want to keep hold of Llorente for as long as they can, but while the Spaniard is happy at the club, he only has eyes on returning to Madrid.
“I’m looking forward to returning – it’s my dream to play and succeed at Madrid. What I want is to go back,” he told AS, via Football Espana.
“It could be that next year I continue here, although I am a Real Madrid player and I will have to do what they say. I will always remember Alaves. They have put their trust in me.”
Llorente is arguably the closest player Madrid currently own that comes close to carrying out the role of Casemiro as the protector in front of the back four.
In fact, only Real Betis midfielder Petros (86) has completed more tackles in La Liga than Llorente (81).
