Premier League admirers of Zlatan Ibrahimovic have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of the Sweden international after he revealed it is perhaps too late for him to move to England.
Ibrahimovic, 34, is into the last six months of his deal with the Ligue 1 champions and has been heavily linked with a move to both the Premier League and his former side AC Milan.
Manchester United and Chelsea are among the clubs reportedly interested in his signature, but they may have to look elsewhere with time running out on veteran striker.
“I think it is too late to come to England. I am very happy in PSG, I have my last six months and let us see what happens afterwards,” Ibrahimovic told the Daily Mail.
“I am enjoying it, I enjoy every day on the field. While I am playing at the top level I just want to join it and do my thing. I do not know where I will finish my career let us wait and see.”
The Iconic Swede scored three of the four goals in their double header with Denmark that sent his country through to next summer’s European Championships meaning he now has 14 goals in his last 13 appearances for club and country.
