Mino Raiola has confirmed Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United this summer and is working on brokering a transfer for his client.
Pogba has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid and return to Juventus after revealing a desire for a new challenge midway through last month.
United have been consistent in their message that the France international is not for sale this summer but Raiola has reiterated his client’s desire to leave.
“Everyone within the club from the manager to the owner knows Paul’s wishes,” Raiola told The Times. “Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.”
Pogba is the only available member of the United squad yet to report back to pre-season training but his extended absence has been authorised by head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
United still expect the 26-year-old to board the plan this weekend for their pre-season tour of Australia even after Raiola’s comments.
However, United are now set for a testing few weeks with both Juventus and Madrid expected to ramp up their interest.
Neither side are willing to match United’s £150m valuation but it remains to be seen whether Raiola’s latest comments have been successful in lowering their asking price.
Pogba played a direct hand in 22 league goals for United last season, equating to 32.3% of the goals the club scored in the competition.
