West Ham’s stunning valuation of Manchester United target Diop revealed
West Ham have slapped a stunning £75m valuation on Issa Diop’s head to ward off interest from Manchester United, claims The Daily Telegraph.
United have earmarked Diop as a potential transfer target this summer, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to overhaul his defensive options for next season.
The Red Devils have already had a player-plus-cash offer for Diop rejected, reported to be £45m and Phil Jones.
West Ham’s request for Anthony Martial to be included in a deal was knocked back from United and now Solskjaer’s side look set to miss out on the Frenchman.
The Hammers are demanding Diop be made one of the most expensive defenders of all-time after setting a remarkable £70m asking price.
West Ham paid £22m to sign Diop from Toulouse 12 months ago, which was a club-record fee at the time of his arrival.
Diop only missed five Premier League matches last season and West Ham lost four of those games.
