Inter have informed Manchester United they will not budge on their €55m (£48m) valuation of Ivan Perisic leaving Jose Mourinho’s side with a big decision to make, reports ESPN.
Perisic has been earmarked as one of four priority signings by the United manager and Mourinho wants the deal to be completed before the club’s pre-season tour to the US at the start of July.
United value the Croatia international at no more than €40m (£35m) and while they are prepared to offer Inter a performance-related add-on, the Serie A giants are determined to get the full price tag.
It leaves United with a big dilemma as they look to bolster their offensive options in the wake of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s departure from the club.
They may lean on Perisic, who is reportedly keen to play for Mourinho, to force through a move and lower Inter’s valuation or Woodward will have to move onto one of Mourinho’s other targets if they are unwilling to pay so much for the former Borussia Dortmund winger.
Perisic enjoyed his best ever goalscoring campaign last season after netting 11 times for Inter in Serie A, as well as providing eight assists.
