Leicester City have had a £15m bid for Watford captain Troy Deeney rejected, according to The Leicester Mercury.
Claudio Ranieri is looking to bolster his offensive options ahead of Champions League football next season and has identified Deeney as one of his main targets this summer.
The Leicester manager is keen to land the Watford skipper to compliment Jamie Vardy in attack and not to replace him amid interest from Arsenal.
No player had a direct hand in more goals for their team in the Premier League last season than Deeney (50%).
