Mourinho concerned Ndombele wants Tottenham exit

Jose Mourinho faces a battle to convince Tanguy Ndombele to stay at Tottenham after just one season at the club, reports The Daily Mirror.

Tottenham broke the bank to sign Ndombele in the summer but their club-record £53.8M signing has endured a nightmare first season.

Ndombele has looked well short of fitness at times this season and his relationship with new manager Jose Mourinho is already on the rocks.

Mourinho has already hung Ndombele out to dry with the national press but still wants to revive the midfielder's career at Tottenham.

Barcelona are understood to be monitoring Ndombele's future at Tottenham and Mourinho fears the France international is already angling for a way out.

The 23-year-old has been limited to just 12 league starts for Tottenham this season and has made a further seven appearances from the bench.

Ndombele has played a direct hand in four goals in that time (two goals, two assists) and has notably completed 77.3% of his attempted dribbles in the Champions League.
