Palace line up move for Fiorentina frontman

Crystal Palace will look to solve their lack of goalscoring strikers by bidding £10m for Fiorentina fringe player Khouma Babacar, according to the Daily Mirror.

Alan Pardew is a striker down following Patrick Bamford’s return to Chelsea and neither Connor Wickham nor Marouane Chamakh or Frazier Campbell have offered any evidence to suggest they can provide the goals that will take Palace to the next level.

The Eagles will instead turn their attentions to 22-year-old Babacar in order to help maintain their current form that has them five points off the top four.

Palace are also interested in former Tottenham forward Emmanuel Adebayor and will reportedly face competition from Southampton and Leicester for the Fiorentina frontman’s services.

Babacar has only started five league games this season under Paulo Sousa, but has still managed to score four goals, which only two teammates can claim to better.
